The Port of Iberia has moved forward with Phase III of their Millennium expansion by acquiring approximately 40 acres from Bernard Port Properties, LLC. The property is located behind the Port administration office between Lewis Street and Pesson Road. The Port received $2.4 million in capital outlay funds from the state of Louisiana for land acquisition and canal dredging. This site has already created interest eventually having road, water and rail access.
