Acadiana Gulf of Mexico Access Channel Phase II is nearing completion of dredging 20 miles from Intracoastal City to the Freshwater Bayou lock. This will complete the 60 miles of dredging which began over 3 years ago with a total project spend of $126 million.
Craig Romero stated he is already seeing the benefits of this project with new companies interested in the Port of Iberia. Romero also stated he is in negotiations with a very large company for lease terms and conditions for the Millennium Expansion Phase III property.
This company is interested in leasing the entire 82 acres between Ernest Crochet Road and Pesson Road.
